This charming Lebanese stone house (Dar Nour) is located in a district of Chabtine called El Mellaha, in a small valley (wadi) surrounded by hundred years old Oaks and Olive trees.

An hour drive from Beirut and only 15 minutes from the coastal line you can reach Chabtine and enjoy a mountainous Mediterranean climate.

Dar Nour is a traditional charming villager Lebanese stone house nested in Chabtine village welcoming you in a peaceful atmosphere overlooking the hills of Batroun. The grey stones of the traditional Lebanese house dot the scenery, reminiscent of a farming village. The guesthouse has been furnished with pieces from Nour’s travelling around the world (Check the Japanese wooden dolls, the Balouch Iranian wall carpet and Uzbek Suzanne wall decoration in the Dar, Uzbek Suzanne curtains in Qamar El Dar Room, the Peruvian embroidery of Titicaca lake in Lili’s room …)

The house offers 4 double rooms and one suite but can host up to 15 persons for overnight with the multipurpose Dar and Abou reception hall that can serve also as rooms.

Dar Nour host 3 rooms and one suite with private bathrooms:

• Nassim El Dar Room: It is the master room of the house with a double capacity featuring a double bed. The large bathroom is equipped with a Jacuzzi. The room has its own small private Terrace with an amazing view. One extra bed or a baby park can be added to accommodate a child or a third person in the room if needed. Air conditioning is available.
• Qamar El Dar Room: It is a medium size room with a double capacity featuring two queen size beds that can be arranged as a double bed. The private bathroom is equipped with a jet douche system. The room has private access to a Terrace with a stunning view of the surrounding nature. Air conditioning is available.
• Lili Room:  It is a small room with a double capacity  featuring two twin beds. The private bathroom is equipped with a jet douche system. Air conditioning is available.
• Ranin Chabtine Suite: It is the cellar’s room, the room of the Abou with its beautiful stone arch and a large queen bed. One separate unit, an annex small room feature a sofa bed with a small seating area opened on the terrace of the cellar. The private bathroom is equipped with a jet douche system. The Terrace in front of the room have a beautiful seating area and an outdoor Jacuzzi. The suite has its own private entrance from the gardens. It is connected with the Cellar Hall and both can be rented jointly.

Dar Nour have also 2 hall/saloons

• El Dar (Ground floor): It is the meeting room of the house with a dining table, a games table and a large sitting room. An exceptional comfortable lounge ambiance is waiting for you there. The stone walls and the tables are colored with decoration items collected all around the world by Nour. A traditional chimney decorates a corner of the hall and can be even used as a saj to prepare ‘manakish’.
• El Abou (Cellar level): It is a beautiful stoned arched lengthwise hall room with three sofas that can be transformed to beds. The cozy and full of charm ambiance of this hall will surprise you. Lightings offer some romance and relaxing atmosphere. In the summer the temperature of this room is so cool that you will love enjoying a break or even a nap there. In the winter time you will be able to grill on the ‘soubaya’ (stove) some potatoes and chestnuts or enjoy a cheese and wine warm dinner. If needed up to 3 extra beds can be added in the hall. A toilet serves this meeting room area.
