Behind every stay is a Host, a real person who takes care of receiving the Guests, helping them check-in and making them feel at home. Firstly, almost anyone can be a Host on the Ajar Platform. Secondly, it's free to sign up and allows you to easily list your Lodgings. Thirdly and most importantly, all hosts are expected to meet high-quality standards every time they receive Guests. For example, these standards include, but are not limited to, thorough cleaning of the Lodging before welcoming Guests as well as ensuring available running water and electricity during the stay, and access to dedicated restrooms on premise.
Ajar has adapted its Host payout methods to the technicalities of the Lebanese financial system.
Firstly, you can directly enter your bank account details on our website. Since Guests can pay online in LBP or USD, we recommend that you enter your Lebanese bank accounts in both currencies. If you do not have a Lebanese bank account in one of these currencies, please contact us on WhatsApp to inquire about other payout methods available.
Secondly, You can choose to receive your payouts in cash - In such cases, Ajar is constrained to add an extra fee, to partially cover the cost of procuring cash from outside the bank.
Moreover, payouts to Hosts are done on a bimonthly basis, every 15th and/or 30th of each month. For payouts under LBP 1.5Mn, Ajar may choose to bundle them with future payouts to minimize transaction fees.

As a Host, you can choose to cancel a reservation only if something critical comes up such as the death of a Guest or Host, floods, fires or other acts of God and extenuating circumstances. Bear in mind that cancelling on a Guest can disrupt their plans and affect your credibility as a Host. We recommend that you minimize those cancellation instances to maintain a high rating on our platform and maintain Guests’ satisfaction.
Certain penalties may apply in case of excessive cancellations by a Host such as deduction from your next payout, temporary account suspension or blocking, and status demotion.
